This work was a reaction to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. This painting installation of 20 pieces based on images taken from an unrelated Elementary School yearbook, is a comment in not only the loss of young lives but also the manner in which these recurring tragedies turn lives into statistics. The real victims eventually getting sweep under an ever-churning news cycle or becoming secondary to political and economic agendas.
