Inspired by the TV show Toddlers & Tiaras; this mix media paintings series explores issues of exploitation, pageantry, and complicity.
It also asks the question when does entertainment become abuse.
The surface of the paintings serves as a metaphor for the complex layers of the projected desires passed on from parent to child and as a representation of the distorted facade created by dressing and styling young children as adults.
